Integrations can act during the call.
Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 once, then approve the calendar, contact, email or external tool actions each team can use. Agents receive only the permissions they need, not open access to a mailbox.
How it works
Six steps through the product, each with a link to the relevant documentation. The same workflow covers integrations, transfers, human handovers and the evidence left by every call.
Step 01
You do not have to fill in forms or draw flowcharts. In the chat, explain who calls, what they need and what should happen when the agent cannot help. The Builder designs the agents, drafts their instructions and connects the tools. It proposes the changes; you approve them.

Step 02
With consent, polite.ai reads the website as soon as the account is approved, so the first agent can use the organisation’s actual opening hours, services and contact details. Add PDFs for detail the website does not cover, and answers stay grounded in your own content.

Step 03
Every team appears as a diagram: agents as boxes, incoming calls from the left, and clear lines for transfers, specialist helpers and returns after a human handover. The diagram reflects the real setup. If a transfer is missing, tell the Builder and it will propose the change.

Step 04
Test in the browser first; no phone number is needed. When the test call works as intended, add a number in the dashboard or bring your own, then press Go live. Callers only hear versions you have deliberately published. Edits remain in draft, and every version can be rolled back.

Step 05
Each call keeps a recording, transcript and action log on one timeline: the slot booked, the transfer made and the result returned by each connected system. If a call did not go as expected, Fix with AI sends the evidence to the Builder, which diagnoses the issue and proposes a fix.

Step 06
Calling comes out of one prepaid balance and is charged in small increments. Before payment, you see the credit, VAT and total. If the balance reaches zero, calls pause; your agents, numbers and history remain available, and you cannot owe us money.

Beyond the first live agent
The launch path is deliberately simple. Once live, the same team can connect to your systems, transfer callers clearly, complete tasks and leave a record the business can trust.
Connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 once, then approve the calendar, contact, email or external tool actions each team can use. Agents receive only the permissions they need, not open access to a mailbox.
Move callers between voice agents or to someone on the team, with or without a spoken introduction. On phone calls, a colleague can return the caller to the agent so it can finish the booking, note or summary.
Book appointments, create tickets, search knowledge, send team summaries and make approved outbound calls. The conversation stays natural, and the work still gets done.
Each call keeps its recording, transcript and action log. You can export configuration as JSON, download call and usage data, and rely on the open-source core if you ever need to leave.
On every call, on every plan
Every agent identifies itself as AI and hands over to a human when that is the better answer.
Politeness is built into the product. The Builder writes these guarantees into every agent instruction. You can read the full set in What every agent promises your callers, with the wider stance in Responsible AI calling.
